Risöfjärden

Character of the water

Risöfjärden is Bothnian coast open coast (1‰). Brackish water where marine and freshwater species meet — fishing is driven by salinity, wind and water level rather than a lake's stratification. Wind-stacked water against a point or sound gathers baitfish.

Permits & rules

• Trout & Arctic char: protected during the autumn spawn · catch-and-release on certain stretches.
• Handheld tackle only. Respect the protected zones at the inlets and outlets.
