Character of the water

Stor-Tågsjön lies in the cold north — a northern humic brown forest lake. The tea-stained, humic water hides the bottom within an arm's length.

The lake lies half-remote, a fair way from the nearest road, tucked into woodland.

Large and deep (35 m): a central basin ringed by drop-offs and shallow bays around the edges — varied bottom with many spots to read.

Fishing permit required — Stor-Tågsjön FVOF. Day permit ~100 kr · annual permit ~500 kr.

• Pike: keep at most one over 75 cm per day.
• Handheld tackle only. Respect the protected zones at the inlets and outlets.

Fishing Stor-Tågsjön

Stor-Tågsjön holds 4 species, with perch, pike and burbot at the top of the chain and roach schooling beneath them. The depth gives the water two storeys — and the fish move between them with the season.
