Storsjön
Character of the water
Storsjön lies in the cold north — a northern clear oligotrophic deep lake.
The surroundings
The lake lies half-remote, a fair way from the nearest road, tucked into woodland.
Large and deep (74 m): a central basin ringed by drop-offs and shallow bays around the edges — varied bottom with many spots to read.

Species in Storsjön
Fishing Storsjön
Storsjön holds 15 species, with perch, pike and zander at the top of the chain and ål, elritsa and roach schooling beneath them. The depth gives the water two storeys — and the fish move between them with the season.
Every session at Storsjön is fished in whatever conditions hold right then — the same pressure, wind and light as over the real water. What bites today isn't what bit the day before, and those who return learn the water for real.
General rules of thumb for this kind of water
- In deep, oxygenated lakes the predators seek cool depth in summer, shallower in spring and autumn.
