Character of the water

Tjäderbäcken is a southern steep trout brook. The water flows — fish hold behind rocks, in current seams and pools, letting the food drift to them. On high water the fish run upstream; on low water they sit tight in the deeper runs.

Permits & rules

  • Trout & Arctic char: protected during the autumn spawn · catch-and-release on certain stretches.
  • Handheld tackle only. Respect the protected zones at the inlets and outlets.
