Character of the water
Flåren lies in the south — a southern nutrient-rich lowland lake. In summer a thermocline settles around 4 m and splits the lake into two worlds.

The lake lies half-remote, a fair way from the nearest road, tucked into woodland.

Fishing Flåren
perch, pike and zander sit at the top of the food chain in Flåren, carried by ål, bream and ruffe. The nutrient-rich water means plenty of baitfish — and predators that grow fat on them.
